UK Jewellery Festival & Retail Jeweller Awards 2022

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the UK Jewellery Festival was held at the Hilton Metropole, Edgware Road, London on 1st September. It was our first time showcasing here and we were delighted to be one of the sponsors for the entire event.

This fantastic event bought the jewellery industry together with a cross section of suppliers and a steady flow of buyers from independent jewellers through to multi-chain retailers.

For visitors to the event, there were networking opportunities to speak with current suppliers and of course, the chance to meet new ones, as well as taking advantage of some keynote speakers discussing topics such as future of the store, experiential retailing and creating an omnichannel experience.

As our first time exhibiting it provided us with the opportunity to meet with some of our current piercing partners and also talk to new customers about the benefits of adding a piercing service. The day was a great success with the Studex team able to showcase how safe, gentle and sterile our piercing systems are and also discuss the support package we are able to offer partners.

After a quick turnaround packing the exhibition stand away, it was time to glam up and get ready for the Retail Jewellery Awards held at the same venue in the evening. With a black-tie dress code, attendees really went to town with some fabulous outfits – of course, all accessorised beautifully with elaborate jewellery! Following a drinks reception, guests were invited to take their seats for the evening meal and awards presentation.

Studex shared the evening table with Jack Murphy Jeweller’s who were nominated for Bridal Jewellery Retailer of the Year. The premium jewellers based in Newry City, went on to win the category and celebrate in style with Jack Murphy himself there to revel in the win.

The Awards were hosted by Radio X DJ, Toby Tarrant who ensured the awards ceremony went seamlessly and as punctually as possible.

A highlight for us was that one of our longest standing customers, F Hinds Ltd were presented with the much deserved ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award’.  Established in 1856 with over 115 High Street stores, the Hinds family have been an integral part of the jewellery industry and stores remain a popular destination on our High Streets.  As part of the acceptance speech, Andrew Hinds paid testament to their loyal staff and customers, hailing them for the success of the business and brand longevity.

As sponsors of the Mirror Booth for the post awards celebration, it was wonderful to see so many fabulous photos from a great night!

Given the success of the event, Studex are excited to be participating in the event in 2023, once again at the Hilton Metropole, Edgware Road. We hope to see you there!
